Beware of Dishonest & False Locksmiths! For some time now we have seen a large in-flux of companies popping up in the Denver area and major cities around the country that may appear to be legitimate locksmith business's but beware. Through local and national BBB warnings and local media we were made more aware of this problem just this past year. These companies (or company as some believe) work very hard in their marketing efforts through internet websites utilizing a host of different names. Many times using name keyword searches that are very similar to some very long standing reputable (legitimate) security business's. Yes, just like ours. Unfortunately many consumers are falling prey to these consumer hijackers all around the nation. The Denver Better Business Bureau last year spoke to the media openly about this problem and warned consumers of their fraudulence and price gouging practices. These companies once on your premises, in many cases perform substandard work and charge you with incredibly inflated prices. When calling for a locksmith always protect yourself and know the basics of how a reputable and legitimate security & locksmith business operates. The following is a basic check list that might help. >>>>>>>>	What to look for when seeking a reputable and legitimate locksmith business. A. You always have a better chance of recourse, if there is a problem, if the company you call has a physical store front. Many of the unscrupulous show address's that are false on their websites. Verify that they actully have a store front location. B. A professional service technician should always be uniformed and have clear identification. This includes business cards, invoices with company name, photo ID, and vehicle signage. C. When needing a locksmith get a referral from a friend, family member or neighbor if at all possible. Check the BBB website and also ALOA, the National Association's partner referral service, FindaLocksmith.com D. Professional locksmith service compnies should always have a published price document or list of various charges that the company charges for parts & labor. Find out what the work will cost before you authorize it. Never sign a blank form authorizing work.
